Our lawyers have successfully represented the interests of a company engaged in construction and real estate business in a court case in respect of the travel ban imposed on the Client’s debtor.
The issue arose after the Commercial Court of the city of Kyiv, having considered an action for damages presented by our lawyers, ruled in our favour and awarded UAH 330,445.00 of damages receivable by the Client. At the stage of enforcement of the decision, however, the debtor was evading the repayment of their debt.
Consequently, an application on imposing of ban on the debtor to exit the country was submitted to the court with the assistance of our lawyers. In this particular case our specialists provided legal support to both the Client being the Plaintiff and the enforcement officer being the formal Applicant.
The judicial proceedings resulted in the Commercial Court of the city of Kyiv fully upholding our legal position and imposing a travel ban on the debtor until the full settlement of the indebtedness to the Client.
A few days following the abovementioned court’s decision, the debt was fully repaid to the Client.
Thus, due to the intervention of our lawyers and taking of a number of legal measures, the court case regarding the travel ban on the Client’s debtor has been won which resulted in the full repayment of the damages to the Client.
