ARTESLEX attorneys have provided the legal assistance to a citizen of Ukraine and successfully protected his rights within the judicial review of the case at the request of The Office of The Prosecutor General with the demands for the seizure of his personal funds in the amount of more than UAH 4,000,000.00.
The situation arose due to the fact that a search was conducted in the client’s home, during which his personal funds were unlawfully exempted. After that, the officials of The Office of The Prosecutor General appealed to the court with a request to seize the exempted funds. Accordingly, our specialists were requested and involved to protect the client’s rights. In particular, during the court hearings, our team presented the legal position and relevant evidence base to confirm the illegality of the arguments of officials of The Office of The Prosecutor General and the illegality of the requirements for the seizure of the client’s funds.
As a result of the judicial review of this case, The Pecherskyi District Court of The City of Kyiv has issued a ruling to deny the request of the officials of The Office of The Prosecutor General to seize the client’s funds, as a result of which all the funds have been returned to the owner.
